I have been a teacher for 27 years, working mainly in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. I have taken on many roles from deputy head, key stage co-ordinators, maths, phonics, topic, art leads and now at Bridgewater I am taking on the role of English leader.
One of my most memorable moments so far at Bridgewater was our wonderful school trip to Walton on the Naze. Though it meant a lot of work and preparation we all have the most fantastic time. It was wonderful to see all the children so happy and engaged. Our school trips are a great opportunity for the children’s learning to be purposeful and come alive.
I work very hard to make learning fun for children and have high expectations of what they can achieve. In Year 2, I’m looking forward to my children continuing to develop their love for learning and develop their growth mindset.
