I qualified as a teacher in 1999 with a focus on Art. I have worked at Bridgewater as an assistant head since we opened as a primary school in September 2013.
I seek to create an environment where all children are encouraged to make choices and to develop confidence in themselves as explorers, discoverers and thinkers. In an ever-changing world I believe that we are all lifelong learners.
I completed a Masters Degree in 2011 and my action research project focussed on learning outside the classroom to inspire creative, child-led learning. Bridgewater Primary School supported me to complete my Forest School Leader training and I am very excited that we have embedded Forest School sessions within our curriculum. I love the fact that we work outside whatever the weather.
