Joanna Hardyman has been teaching since 2001, and has taught in junior schools and primary schools across Hertfordshire.
She joined Bridgewater at an exciting time - as it became a primary school. She was able to bring her experience of teaching all primary year groups and has taught four different year groups while at Bridgewater. As such, she has been able to do what she likes best about teaching - forging links with families by teaching siblings and becoming part of the school community as well as the wider community.
In each class she teaches, she strives to ensure that all children become independent, resilient learners who feel secure enough to take risks and learn from each other. This will continue to be paramount for the Year 3s this year, as they tackle the new KS2 curriculum.
She sits on the Teaching and Learning Committee of the governing body.
