Role on Board: I became an associate governor in 2018.
I own and practice from a Chiropractic, Health and Wellbeing Clinic in Berkhamsted. I graduated from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic with a BSc and Msc in Chiropractic Sciences and went on to complete a year postgraduate study to gain my Doctor of Chiropractic title.
I have over 16 years’ experience working in the health and wellbeing industry in many different frameworks; from GP surgeries to the Polyclinic at the London 2012 Paralympics. I have now been running my own practice for 10 years and have had to build on my skill set in order to achieve all this entails. I frequently attend Professional Development events on physical, nutritional and emotional wellbeing and how it sits in our ever-changing landscape. I thrive on working with individuals to enhance their physical wellbeing and help guide their lifestyle choices.
Interest in being a governor: From my first visit to Bridgewater I was struck by their commitment to their pupils, of course academically but, also their commitment to set the foundations and help them learn how to navigate their way through real life. Based on the ethos and values of Bridgewater I feel inspired to step up and support in any way I can.
Your advice to / quote for children at Bridgewater school:
“The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind” Khalil Gibran
“The man who asks a question is a fool for a minute, the man who does not ask is a fool for life.” Confucius
