I am very happy to be teaching Year 3 this year. At Bridgewater I love how everyone works together and collectively celebrates successes across the curriculum and outside of school. Before starting at Bridgewater, I was a football coach while I was training to be a teacher.
My most memorable moment as a teacher was seeing Year 4 children conquer their fears in a caving expedition during a residential trip. This summed up their determination to overcome obstacles that they faced both during lessons and in real life situations. Inspirational courage which I hope to instil in all pupils I teach.
One of the many important learning points for Year 3 children is how to become an independent learner. They will begin to take responsibility for their own learning and challenge themselves appropriately without the fear of making a mistake.
