After a career in corporate communications Trish Beloe opted for a change a few years ago. She is now an academic researcher in child and adolescent cognitive neuroscience and a PhD student at Birkbeck University, London.
As a governor, she sits on the Teaching and Learning Committee. She is a parent governor with a focus on Special Education Needs and health/wellbeing. She believes one of the best things about Bridgewater is that it allows children to flourish in many ways outside the classroom - for example, opportunities in sport, music and Forest School enable pupils to gain skills and confidence that can't be developed in the classroom alone.
"I would encourage children at Bridgewater to stay curious and never be afraid to ask lots of questions about the world around them."
