We are incredibly lucky to have a big team of fantastic volunteers at Bridgewater including many parents, some grandparents and members of our local community.
There are opportunities to contribute as a volunteer to every area of school life. Just by way of example, we have volunteers reading with our pupils during the day, helping at sports events, making story sacks, helping with gardening, doing admin for the school office, going for an early morning run in the beautiful countryside around our school with our running club and helping to repair our perimeter fence following damage from deer and other wildlife. The document below includes lots of information about all the current roles available including one-off volunteering opportunities as well as regular slots.
At least once per year we have an outdoor volunteering day, known as The Big Dig, and you can see below some photos of our volunteers at work here. You can also follow us on Twitter for more photos and news @BWVolunteering.
We'd love to hear from you if you are interested in getting involved as a volunteer in any way (or if you have already volunteered but haven't heard back from us - we aim to respond quickly to all offers but please do let us know as we don't want valuable offers of help to slip through the net!). Please drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
