Cassandra Roberts, Co-opted
Role on board:
Associate Governor
Professional skills/background:
I am a Senior Lawyer for a government department Crown having qualified as a solicitor in 2012. I currently specialise in youth courts which involves collaborating with other agencies in order to determine the most appropriate course of action, balancing the welfare of the youth with the prevention of offending. I have experience of sitting on the Hertfordshire Youth Justice Management Board and the Magistrates Youth Training Panel. Outside of work I volunteer for a charity which focuses on legal education in schools to reduce offending rates.
Interest in being a Governor:
I have seen first hand the impact early education can have on transforming lives. I hope to positively contribute to the fabric of the school using the skills I have acquired not only in a professional capacity but also as a mother of two children who currently attend Bridgewater.
Your advice/quote for children at Bridgewater School:
