Commonwealth Games 29.6.22
We had another great day on day 2 of the Commonwealth Games. Our first activity was bowls where we had to bowl our balls as close to the yellow jack ball as we could. We really improved our accuracy during the 40 minute session and lots of us got our ball really close to the jack!
Next we did netball. We did a dodging and attacking warm up game and a skills practise course. We then spilt into teams and played a game of netball.
Our next session was yoga. We relaxed on our mats and thought about everything we do during the day. We did some poses to illustrate the activities e.g. stretching up high to show us getting out of bed.
After that we did an obstacle course. We had to run around cones, jump in and out of hoops, skip, roll down the hill, do a bear crawl, javelin and finally crawl under a net! It was an exhausting trail!
Our final session was boxing. We worked in pairs with one of us wearing the pads and the other the boxing gloves. We learned how to spar and how to punch diagonally. We also learned some stretches and exercise to improve our abs!
We had an amazing time at the Commonwealth Games event and tried out lots of new sports and activities.
