June
It has been an absolute pleasure to join Firecrest for the last half of the summer term. It has been lovely to get to know the children and meet the parents.
The children have been incredibly busy and we look forward to sharing their work with you.

Our trip to College Lake.
We loved going on a coach to College Lake and enjoyed learning about our environment. We learnt about SWAF - Shelter, Water, Air and Food and how we can help our wildlife keep warm, safe and cosy. We did our class assembly on College Lake and enjoyed sharing what we did there with our parents and carers.
Take a look at some of our photos from our day.

Maths in Firecrest
In Maths, we have been learning about number bonds to 5 and 10. We used pasta shapes, numicon and printing to help us.

Sports Day 23/06/22
On Thursday 24th June, we participated in lots of activities such as the relay race, the sack race, running races and many more! We had a fantastic time and everyone tried their best and joined in. After the races had finished we all sat in the meadow and enjoyed a nice ice lolly!

This week we have started looking at recycling and how we can help our planet by recycling at home and in school. We have enjoyed reading the book Michael Recycle by Ellie Bethel and look forward to the next few weeks making bug hotels out of recycled materials. We went round our classroom and atelier and wrote a list of all of the materials that could be recycled. We found lots!

Bridgewater Commonwealth Games
We really enjoyed taking part in the Commonwealth Games. We practised turn taking and liked learning about new sports such as Goalball and Archery.
