Tuesday 31st March
Good morning, did you enjoy the story, and finding out about Toby's Easter yesterday? I do hope so, we are going to be having lots of challenges about Easter this week. Today there are maths and phonics challenges, a new story time, and there is a handwriting lesson that you can have a go at sometime this week. Have fun today.
Hi Goldcrest, I'm so excited this morning and I can't wait to get started on the maths challenge! As my sentence was so good yesterday, Mrs Fullman's going to hide some eggs so I can have an early Easter egg hunt and then use the eggs I find for today's challenge, she's hiding them right now! Yesterday Mrs Fullman was busy so I popped into school to do some deer spotting, I didn't see any on the field but I did see some robins and magpies collecting bits of twigs and moss to make their nests. It was great fun to sit quietly watching the birds and listening to their tweeting. I then thought I'd go on a worm hunt and found lots underneath the logs in the log circle. I got a bit muddy as I'd forgotten my wellies, so I put them on and explored the rest of the meadow trying to spot signs of spring, I took a picture of some lovely miniature daffodils and can you see the dinosaur I found next to them? I must go because ... I'm going on an Easter egg hunt! Bye, Ed x
Good Morning Goldcrest!
We have so loved seeing and sharing all your challenges and fun last week.
Here are just a few examples.
Enjoy looking at them and seeing what your friends have been up to.

Morning Goldcrest. I hope you had a lovely weekend. We watched Paddington Bear with our pizza on Friday night and I laughed so much when he cleaned his ears with the toothbrush and put his head in the toilet, what a funny bear! We played lots of games and went on a dog walk, I thought blossom was falling from the trees but then I realised it was trying to snow! We came back quickly as it was so cold and had hot chocolate and played Monopoly, Shopping List and Bananagrams. In Bananagrams you have to make lots of words and we tried to use as many digraphs and trigraphs as we could, I think Mrs Fullman misses phonics! I'm off to do today's writing challenge. I'm going to write 'I will go on an Easter egg hunt' and I think I'll draw some Easter eggs with pretty patterns. Bye for now. Love Ed x

Hello Goldcrest. I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine, I've been out on some long walks with Mrs Fullman and her dog, this morning I was really tired when we came back so I sat and read emails with her and we were really excited to see what you've been up to .... amazing den building, planting, book writing, junk modelling, playing games and you've been doing lots of jobs - you've been extremely busy! I practised my tricky words on the computer yesterday and was pleased that I could remember them this morning when I did Phonics. Today we've been making models, I think my rocket will need another coat of paint this afternoon and Mrs Fullman needs some help with her dinosaur's head. Later on it's pizza and film night, I think we're watching Paddington ... I can't wait! Have a lovely weekend everyone. Love, Ed

Wow! What lovely number sentences we have seen from some of you today.
It looks like you had fun games with your animals. Some of you chose Giraffes and dogs and cats.
Did the animals eat the food or did you?
Today we have more phonics for you to practise and we also have another writing challenge.
I wonder what page you will make or whether you will choose to make a whole story?
We 're looking forward to hearing all about it.
Have a good day today and keep in touch.

Hi Goldcrest! Hope you're having fun. I popped in to school today and saw Mrs Beaumont and Mrs Cornish. I was very lucky as Mrs Beaumont had a few minutes spare and she read me a story on our comfy Goldcrest sofa. I showed her my 'Dear Zoo' writing and she told me that some of you have sent her and Mrs Berry some of your work, she was really impressed. Yesterday afternoon all the Reception teachers had a meeting on line and I sat with Mrs Fullman and gave everyone a wave, I even saw some of their family in the background and it was great to meet them and say hello. I'm going to go now and do the daily mile with Go Go Bear as it's such a lovely afternoon. I hope you've managed to get out and have some fun in your gardens. Bye, Ed x

Hello Goldcrest. Just thought I'd let you know what I've been up to, as you know I went camping with Butter Bear (from Nursery) and you'll never guess who came along to join us ... Go Go Bear (from Firecrest)! Go Go Bear was a great help putting up our tent and we all had great fun building dens and a fire so we could have hot chocolate just like you do at Forest School. When I came back I went to stay with Mrs Fullman and I helped her make a cake for her son's birthday, I got really messy and had to have a bath. I ate a huge bit when it was ready ... yum, yum! I'd best go for now as I'm about to try the 'Dear Zoo' writing challenge. Hope you are all OK and having fun, love Ed Bear
