Outdoor Learning Day 20.5.22
In the morning Swallow class made dream catchers. They gathered sticks in the wood, made triangles and then wove different coloured threads around the outside and through the middle to catch their dreams. Unfortunately the wet weather meant we had to do part of the activity inside. In the afternoon we took our picnic rugs outside and shared non fiction books that we had brought from home. The books were about plants and animals and linked with our current science learning - living things and their habitats. Several children brought in books about birds and we enjoyed reading the Swallow sections and one child brought in a magazine in which their dad had an article about fish. Despite the weather we had a lovely day!
