Bridgewater Primary

Home Page

We are incredibly lucky to have a big team of fantastic volunteers at Bridgewater including many parents, grandparents and members of our local community.

There are opportunities to contribute as a volunteer to every area of school life. For example, we have volunteers:

  • reading with our pupils during the day
  • helping at sports events
  • making story sacks
  • maintaining our library
  • helping with gardening or Mathletics clubs
  • doing admin for the school office
  • going on school trips to provide additional adult support
  • joining an early morning run in the beautiful countryside around our school with our running club
  • helping to plant daffodil bulbs, make new garden areas or repair our perimeter fence following damage from deer and other wildlife during our Big Dig (you can see below some photos of our volunteers at work here).

At the end of this page is a list of all the volunteering opportunities available in school. It includes lots of information about all the current roles available including one-off volunteering opportunities as well as regular slots. It explains who to contact if you want to get involved.

We'd love to hear from you if you are interested in getting involved as a volunteer in any way (or if you have already volunteered but haven't heard back from us - we aim to respond quickly to all offers but please do let us know as we don't want valuable offers of help to slip through the net!).
