Our governors

A diverse community of leaders

Our Governing Body comprises a mix of parents and professionals from our local community who want to make a positive contribution to children's education.

School governors provide strategic leadership and accountability in schools. Their role is to help guide Mrs Doodson and her team to implement the school's vision, improve standards of teaching and learning, and plan the school's finances to make best use of the school's budget.

As well as attending monthly meetings, each governor is asked to take on specific duties, very often related to their individual areas of expertise. They also attend lots of events at school, including pupil progress meetings, information evenings, performances and assemblies.

They're always looking for new members to join the team. So if you think you'd like to get involved they'd love to hear from you. There's more information on the roles of governors in the governance section - we hope you find these pages useful.
