Dan Twort, Co-opted
Role on board:
Associate Governor
Professional skills/background:
I have over 15 years’ experience in government organisations and I’m currently a Senior Project Manager working on the HS2 project. I am used to working within restricted budgets and adopting a strategic approach when dealing with challenging stakeholders. Outside of work I have managed, with varying degrees of success, my son’s Berkhamsted Raiders football team.
Interest in being a Governor:
I have two children at Bridgewater and my eldest child completed his Bridgewater journey (from Ducklings to Year 6) in 2023. I’ve seen first-hand how the school supports children with different interests and needs while giving them a wide-range of new experiences and opportunities. I am keen to give something back to the school and assist in any way I can to help support its development plans.
Your advice/quote for children at Bridgewater School:
"'Nothing beats kindness," said the horse. "It sits quietly beyond all things'"
