Year 1
Welcome to Year 1 from Matthew Griffiths, Key Stage 1 Phase Lead
We view year 1 as a positive transition into Key Stage 1. The children will continue to build on the playful learning they experienced in our Early Years Foundation Stage. Our year 1 learning opportunities are carefully planned to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum and we will continue to promote the skills across all areas of learning, both inside and outside.
We know that you, as parents and carers, are children's primary educators and it's important to us that we work in close partnership to ensure the best outcomes for your child. We will regularly share information with you to develop this partnership through weekly home learning. Your engagement will be a positive opportunity to strenthen home/school links. We look forward to working together.
