Vacancy for 1:1Teaching Assistants
Bridgewater is a warm and friendly school. We are an ambitious, creative and forward-thinking and are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our supportive, friendly and hardworking team.
We are looking to recruit 1:1 SEND teaching assistants to join our friendly and highly committed team to support a young child with Autism and other needs. Previous experience of working with children with the above needs is preferable and further training will be encouraged and supported.
Candidates will need to be confident in all aspects of the teaching assistant role, have a caring and nurturing approach to understanding the needs of children, excellent communication and enjoy being part of a team. Literacy and numeracy skills are required and knowledge of phonics would be useful.
The post is full time but part time applicants welcome as there is some degree of flexibility and this will be from 1st September 2022 initially for 1 year with the possibility to extend. Hours would be between 8.15am to 3.15pm, Monday to Friday, and may include shadowing the child(ren) during lunch break.

Early Years Teaching Assistant
We are looking to appoint a friendly, caring, Teaching Assistant to join our Reception team. The successful candidate will support children's learning both in and out of the classroom. We are looking for people who wish to become a part of our school team and contribute to the success of the school as a whole.
Candidates will need to have a caring and nurturing approach to understanding the needs of children, excellent communication and enjoy being part of a team. Literacy and numeracy skills are required as well as some knowledge of phonics. A level 3 early years practitioner (EYP) qualification would be an advantage, as would a good understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development. You will be working in partnership with the Early Years class teachers and will be expected to contribute towards observation, planning and assessment. You will have an acute awareness of the Key Worker system and be confident to use your own initiative, and demonstrate flexibility. Bridgewater is passionate about outside learning whatever the weather and is also a Forest School.

The vacancy is for full school days, 8.00am - 3.15pm or 8.15am - 3.30pm, term time only.

Midday Supervisory Assistant
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable person to join our friendly and dedicated team of midday supervisors. Your work will involve supervising pupils in the dinner hall, on the playground and around the school buildings. You will be prepared to play games with children, have patience, empathy and a sense of humour! The hours of work are 1.5 hours per day, working term time only. We would prefer to recruit someone to work 5 lunchtimes per week, but we can consider applicants wanting to work less days.
