Outdoor Learning Day 3.11.22
It really was 'Together Rain Or Shine' at our Outdoor Learning Day today!
We started the day with some more Andy Goldsworthy inspired art work. This time we spilt into two groups and made some collaborative art work based on circles. We gathered materials from the wood and sorted leaves into green, yellow, orange, brown and red. As well as leaves we used pine cones, other seeds, sticks ands twigs. Group 1 named their art work Sun's Rays and group 2 named theirs Hot, Blazing Summer Day.
In computing this half term we are learning about photography and how to take a good photograph. We took the Ipads onto the field and experimented with taking photographs of trees. We thought carefully about positioning the image in the viewfinder and how much grass and sky we should include. Some of us got creative and tried holding the Ipad at different angles or under the trees. We looked at each others photographs and said what we like about them and how they could be improved next time.
We had a great day and managed to not get too wet!
