Outdoor Learning Day 7.11.23
Swallow class had a great time at the Outdoor Learning Day. We went into the woods and collected leaves, twigs, sticks and seeds. We worked in groups to create some natural art work, inspired by Andy Goldsworthy. We discussed with our groups what we would like to make and sorted the resources that we had collected. We named our art work - Colossal Squid Attack, Bridgewater Bird, Swallow In A Tree, The Swallow and The Rainbow and The Wishing Tree. Can you tell which photo is which?
Later we chose one of the things that we had collected and made an observational drawing of it in our sketch books. We used magnifying glasses to look at out leaves, seeds and sticks in detail. We used 2B and 4B pencils to add shading to our drawings.
