Free School Meals and Pupil Premium

If you are eligible for certain benefits, you may be able to receive free school meals for your child and the school will receive Pupil Premium funding, which is given to schools to help pupils reach their full potential.

If your child already has a free school meal because they are in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 (Universal Free School Meals), it is still important that you apply for free school meal funding, as your child could be eligible for Pupil Premium funding, which in 2023-24 was worth £1,455 per pupil who qualifies and would be used to support your child's education.

This support can take many forms - everything from supporting their learning, their emotional and mental health, to offering financial support for them to attend clubs, trips and activities
