Victoria Francis, Teacher - Year 4 (Mallard)
My journey with Bridgewater started in 2017 when my eldest child first joined. At the time I was working with children, running music and sensory classes for babies and toddlers. The more time I spent at Bridgewater, the more I realised what a wonderful school it was and I wanted to become more involved, whilst still continuing to work with children.
I became a Teaching Assistant in Nursery in 2019 and absolutely loved my time in Early Years, realising the importance of learning through play and the fundamental job that plays in helping children to build the social and emotional skills that help them so greatly later in life. In 2023 I started my teacher training in Year 6 with a half term placement in Year 3. Having now worked from the very youngest in the school, all the way up to the eldest, I feel I've amassed a great deal of knowledge on where children start and where they need to end up on their journey through Primary School.
Now teaching in Year 4, I look forward to teaching children to love learning by making it fun, engaging and interactive.
