Mum to three grown up sons, I qualified as a teacher in 1999 with a focus on Art. I joined Bridgewater School as Assistant Head teacher when we opened as a Primary School in September 2013. In August 2022 I stepped down from this role and returned to the classroom to the job I love. I’m proud to be part of our Bridgewater School family, where our youngest children are encouraged to make choices to develop confidence in themselves as explorers, discoverers and thinkers.

In an ever-changing world I believe that we are all lifelong learners. I completed a Masters Degree in 2011 and my action research project focused on learning outside the classroom to inspire creative, child-led learning. Bridgewater Primary School supported me to complete my Forest School Leader training and I am very proud that we have embedded Forest School sessions within our curriculum across the school. I love the fact that we work outside whatever the weather!
