Becky Brown
Role on board:
Staff Governor
Professional skills/background:
With 15 years of my 23-year teaching career dedicated to the Bridgewater family, I have been privileged to witness our school's evolution first-hand and feel a deep sense of pride in the passionate, caring environment we have nurtured. Having led Science for many years, and now leading Computing and our Eco Council, I am eager to bring this broad curriculum experience and my historical perspective to the governing board. In my recent role as Staff Well-Being Lead, I’ve gained a unique insight into our team; I am keen to represent this 'on-the-ground' reality at a strategic level to ensure that as we continue to grow, the well-being of our staff and the sustainability of our school remain at the forefront of our long-term vision.
Interest in being a Governor:
I am keen to serve as a staff governor because I am deeply committed to the long-term vision of our school and want to contribute to its success beyond the classroom. Having a front-line perspective on our daily operations, I believe I can provide the governing board with valuable, practical insights that ensure our strategic decisions remain grounded in reality. I am eager to develop a broader understanding of school leadership, collaborate with the wider community, and play an active role in shaping an environment where both our pupils and staff can truly thrive.
