Katie Watson, Co-opted
Role on Board: I joined the board in Summer 2023 as an associate member.
Professional skills / background: I am a qualified Systemic Psychotherapist working at a large children’s hospital where I offer talking therapies and support to children (& their families) with long term health conditions. I have a professional interested in Attachment theory, trauma and behaviours that are challenging. I have a background working in Neurodevelopmental CAMHS and Children’s Social Care and have had the opportunities to work alongside schools in many of these roles to consider how best to support children in school.
Interest in being a governor: I have a child in the school who started his Bridgewater journey in Ducklings. I was blown away by the values that underpin the learning in this setting and the importance of putting wellbeing first and promotion of play-based learning. I am passionate about the ethos of Team Bridgewater and believe my personal and professional experience could be valuable in the role of governor.
