Kestrel activities & gallery 2022/23
Kestrel class have been incredibly busy during the first half the autumn term. We look forward to sharing lots of our work with you and keeping you posted about what's to come!
We started the term with a whole school book And Tango Makes Three and enjoyed looking after our own eggs! We had to care for and nurture the eggs like in the story and here are some photos of us decorating our eggs.

Outdoor Learning Day
Kestrel Class went outside on an autumn scavenger hunt, we found a lot more mushrooms than we expected including a fairy ring! At the same time we collected leaves which we used to make beautiful leaf rubbing artworks with. We also went on a walk to look for evidence of deer in our outside spaces then used this information to write simple and more detailed sentences about deer.
A guest speaker visits Kestrel!
We were lucky enough to have a paleontologist visit us on Tuesday 1st November. We looked at the cycle of a fossil, various types of rock and real fossils.
