Tom Bissenden, Co-opted
Role on Board:
I joined the governing body in September 2024 as a Co-opted governor. I’m currently the Health & Safety Link and sit on the Resources Committee.
Professional skills/background:
I have over 20 years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain roles and have worked across various industry sectors and countries.
Throughout my career, I have progressively advanced to leadership positions. I have deep
experience in connecting colleagues and stakeholders to deliver complex projects and
achieve common goals. Outside of work, I stay active by cycling and running, while also
keeping up with my children’s interests.
Interest in being a Governor:
I have two children at Bridgewater and over time have supported various BSA events and several ‘Big Digs’. I’m keen to use my background to contribute to Bridgewater further and to learn from my fellow governors and teachers about how we can continue to make the school a great place to learn.
Your advice/quote for children at Bridgewater school:
“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”
