Layla Evans, Teacher - Year 3 (Kestrel)
I have been a teacher for over twenty years, teaching in six different schools, in three counties. I knew that Bridgewater School was a special place from the moment I entered, choosing to send my own children here. I was thrilled when the opportunity arose to work here.
I have taught across all primary key stages taking on various roles including leadership. My subject specialism is Music, this is something I am passionate about. I hope that this will be reflected in the children coming home and singing you new songs and rhymes! I am teaching Year 2 Music as part of their Forest School rotation.
I enjoy spending time with my family. We love discovering new places, including parks, cafés and swimming pools! I love learning and trying new things. I have recently gained a Level 1 Certificate in British Sign Language and I will be undertaking a Children’s Mental Health course next year. In my free time, I sing in a local choir and enjoy yoga classes.
It is a real privilege to be part of the children’s journey at Bridgewater and working in partnership with you all.
